Dinosaurs!
What?!!! Dinosaurs didn't die off?
{Picture Proof Below}
Etymology:
The word "dinosaur" is from the Greek language.
Dino (Terrible) + Saur (Lizard). Source: Online
Etymology Dictionary.
Thesis Statement:
I believe that instead of the dinosaurs completely dying off that there was a many-year transition,
through natural selection of dinosaurs-to-modern-day animals.
Causal Statement:
It is common knowledge that a meteor hit the Earth and threw up tons of dust
into the atmosphere, which caused a super-long winter. It got cold, and
reptiles (which dinosaurs were) don't like the cold. They don't survive
cold climates well, unless they can hibernate underground during the
winter. Thus, dinosaurs had to either die (except in places where the
climate stayed warm), or they had to adapt to their new environment.
There are two ways that this was done:
(1) Just by become smaller, thereby needing less food to survive, and...
(2) By transitioning into mammals (which all have hair to keep them warm).
[This process may have taken longer (like millions of years)].
Disclaimer:
This is not a fact. It's just my own theory. So, when you are done
