Music in Teaching How to use music to teach ANYTHING!
Music is a wonderful way to learn anything. And it is easy to use music in the classroom. Just use the music from a popular song that all the students know, and add your own educational lyrics. For example. I've been teaching English in a Chinese senior middle school (grades 10-12). All the students are familiar with the music of Jingle Bells, Twikle Twinkle Little Star, Are You Sleeping?, and Auld Lange Syne (just to name a few). And one of their units of the text book deals with nutrition. So, I made lyrics to go with the music of the songs (aforementioned). Like this: To the tune of "Are You Sleeping?":
